Job Summary

We are seeking a Regional Product Manager to join our Kensington team. The Regional Product Manager (RPM) is responsible for Kensington’s North America business, overseeing their assigned product category. In this role, the RPM will oversee the development of our product strategies, launch planning, profit and loss modeling, trend analysis, and lifecycle management. This role will establish pricing and promotional strategies to drive revenue, market share, as well as be responsible for monitoring competitive activity, conducting TAM (Total Addressable Market) analysis by key categories and customer channels.

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with Kensington’s North American Channel Marketing team to develop marketing tools that enable successful product introductions, and compelling marketing campaigns. They will coordinate with various Sales teams in the region to establish placement and ensure the attainment of the companies sell through targets. In addition, they will collaborate with the Global Product Development and Global Marketing teams to establish the right products and messaging for the North American marketplace, as well as communicate customer feedback around existing products to further enhance our offerings. Furthermore, the RPM will provide critical forecasting feedback establishing initial forecast expectations for new items via the milestone process.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the right Go-to-Market strategy and marketing mix (pricing, promotion, channel placement) to ensure assigned categories meet their financial objectives.

  • Develop quarterly product marketing plans and execute via cross-functional teams to deliver on the assigned product line’s financial targets (net sales and margin).

  • Monitor and provide recommended real-time pricing and promotional strategies that address competitive actions & market opportunities.

  • Establish strategic direction, initial pricing, and launch plans for new products including target channel placements in North America.

  • Collaborate on messaging and copy for packaging, public relations, web, and collateral with Regional and Global Marketing teams.

  • Work closely with Channel Marketing and Sales teams to build launch plans and tools that successfully introduce new products into all targeted channels.

  • Provide detailed initial inventory forecasts and stocking strategies.

  • Support various Sales team efforts to meet and exceed financial goals.

  • Establish quarterly product promotional plans, working with Sales and Channel Marketing teams to implement them.

  • Manage overstocked products and promotional plans.

  • Work with Global Product Development to establish end-of-life strategies, including the development and communication of transition plans.

  • Monitor financial and overall category performance (net trade sales, operating profit, inventory levels, point of sale, etc.) and develop plans as needed to ensure business objectives are met.

  • Coordinate with Sales to gain competitive insight and market feedback.

  • Develop TAM models and conduct detailed market analysis to ensure we are maximizing our product footprint in our various channels.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS degree in Business or a related field.

  • Three or more years of experience in product management or product marketing (experience in technology accessories field is a plus).

  • Knowledge of tech B2B and Retail channels is extremely beneficial.

  • Understand and be familiar with current technology trends including how consumers use laptops & tablets for both personal and business uses.

  • Strong analytical skills with a technical ability to leverage data and tools in your decisions (Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio, and Asana are all preferred).

  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely to customers, peers, and management regarding strategy, execution, and results.

  • Self-starter with an ability to organize work, manage time, and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to read and interpret financial documents such as profit and loss statements, pricing analysis, inventory reports, etc.

  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences/channels and devising unique product launch strategies.

  • Experience in conducting primary and secondary research.

  • Able to travel up to 10% (domestic and international) as needed.

Salary Range: $93,800 - $125,000
